Sport PEI held a ‘She’s Good’ event, June 29, 2021, at the newly renovated Mill River Resort. The staff at Mill River were incredible and we would like to thank them for their hospitality and support. It was a day full of fun activities for the participants as they received golf lessons from Lorie Kane, played tennis, disc golf and beach volleyball, went hiking, and practised yoga. We truly appreciate Lorie’s involvement and can’t thank her enough for being a role model for young girls on PEI.

Our She’s Good events have a goal of inspiring and supporting girls (aged 10-15) lifelong love of sport and physical activity. Female sport leaders and professionals spend the day talking to the girls about healthy lifestyles, goal setting mixed in with a lot of fun.

Thank you to all of our instructors and participants, it was a wonderful day and we can’t wait for the next one!

Thanks to the 2009 Canada Games Legacy Fund for their support, as well as, Sport Partnership and Engagement Program, a project of the Sport Participation Bilateral which is jointly funded by the Province of PEI (Department of Health and Wellness) and the Federal Government (Canadian Heritage – Sport Canada).
