The tennis coach certification pathway is a Canada-wide certification program, in conjunction with the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).

Tennis PEI is creating opportunities for new and existing coaches to develop and advance their skill through local and provincial training workshops and on-court experience.

Tennis Canada Instructor Course – Charlottetown PEI

Tennis Canada has one of the most internationally recognized tennis coaching certification systems in the world (given the “Gold Standard” by the ITF). The Instructor Course provides the framework and baseline for all further Tennis Canada Certification and is a prerequisite. This is a 35 hr course, run over 2 weekends. PEI has coaches that started with their Instructor Certification received here in PEI and are now coaching in Vancouver, Toronto and Halifax while other are coaching locally here in PEI. This course often costs upwards of $500 in other parts of Canada but is offered here in PEI for $200.
